FC Revera 1908 has received an official certificate confirming its compliance with all the minimum criteria outlined in the Ukrainian Professional Football League (PFL) Club Licensing Regulations.

This certification marks an important step in the club’s strategic direction and confirms that FC Revera 1908 retains its professional status. Despite the decision to temporarily suspend the participation of the first team in the Second League, the club continues systematic preparations for a future return to professional competition.

The license is the result of comprehensive efforts encompassing organizational, staffing, infrastructural, and financial aspects. All club departments — the Academy, Youth Sports School, and Revera Kids — continue to operate as usual and remain a strategic foundation for the development of FC Revera 1908.

As a reminder, following the conclusion of the season, the club initiated a restructuring process in response to the transformation of its professional funding model. In the 2025/2026 season, the first team will compete in official amateur competitions, which will help preserve match fitness, club identity, and developmental momentum.

As part of the new strategic model, the club has introduced the position of Director of Strategic Sports Development, now held by Marcin Gabor. His primary goal is the conceptual restructuring of the club’s sporting framework, including the development of the professional sector, the unification of training principles, and the establishment of a stable, multi-level system.

The license confirms that the club meets the PFL’s standards and maintains its professional status. Despite the temporary pause in the Second League, Revera 1908 continues preparing for its return, ensuring stability across all areas of its operations. The club remains open to cooperation with partners who share its values and support the development of football.

In line with FC Revera’s 1908 strategic commitment to continuous development and professionalisation, the Club is undertaking a comprehensive transformation of its sports area. These structural changes are designed to strengthen the Club’s sporting framework and support sustainable growth across all levels. As part of this ongoing evolution, FC Revera 1908 is reinforcing its leadership capacity to ensure the highest standards of management, innovation, and long-term planning.

We recently announced major changes in the sports area, marking the beginning of a long-term transformation process in this sector. Today, we are pleased to announce a breakthrough moment in the history of FC Revera 1908, as the management team has decided to introduce the position of Director for Strategic Sports Development into the organisational structure. The person in this position will play a crucial role, heading up the most important area of FC Revera 1908 and be in charge for the conceptual, strategic, long-term and sustainable development of the sports area (Sports Department, all Specialists, teams and players).

The scope of responsibilities in the position of Director for Strategic Sports Development is based on the elaboration, implementation and managing of the “Sports Development Model of FC Revera 1908.” The key responsibilities:
✓ vision and structure of the sports development model
✓ long-term sports strategy
✓ football intellectual foundation, knowledge and concepts
✓ areas of sports development
✓ complex football concept with all football models
✓ organisational structure of the Sports Department, characteristics of units, position profiles, operational processes and documentation
✓ management of the Sports Department and Specialists
✓ education, work assessment, contract management and recruitment of Specialists
✓ management, as well as development of teams and players across the entire Club
✓ squad planning of all teams in the Club, player contract management and player transfers
✓ sports technologies, innovations and projects
✓ directions of sports communication
✓ cooperation in the sports context with other departments of the Club

The management staff at FC Revera 1908 conducted a careful analysis of the European market, looking for individuals who fit the comprehensive position profile specified above. Following a scouting process for this role, a suitable candidate has been selected. Advanced negotiations are currently ongoing with the selected person, and we hope that they will be concluded successfully.

This appointment will mark a pivotal step in FC Revera’s 1908 long-term development journey, enhancing the Club’s capacity to deliver a unified and future-oriented sports strategy. It demonstrates the Club’s strong commitment to integrating international best practices and fostering sustainable excellence across all facets of football operations.

FC Revera 1908 is initiating structural changes within its Sports Department — a core component of the Club’s organisational framework.

These measures are intended to align the sports division with strategic objectives and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
Last year, FC Revera 1908 entered into a close partnership with the Football Development Institute. The purpose of this cooperation is to transform the Club through full professionalisation and comprehensive development. In the first months of the partnership, FDI Experts focused – in trusted cooperation with the managerial staff and the internal Change management team – on laying the grounds for the “Club Development Model of FC Revera 1908”, defining the Club’s foundations, conducting external and internal audits, forming a long-term development vision in all Club areas and a detailed strategy, preparing an optimal future organisational structure, and developing concepts in the areas of management, communication and IT.

In recent weeks, our partnership has taken another step forward. FDI has begun intensive work on preparing the groundwork for comprehensive changes in the sports area. Now, many official FC Revera 1908 documents contain studies presenting commitments to this segment. First and foremost, the sports area has been officially established in the “Model vision” and “Profile of FC Revera 1908” as the most important area of the Club, located at its centre and determining the activities of other areas, while being supported by the remaining departments. The development of sports specialists, teams and players has been recognised as one of the key roles of the Club. In addition, the “Fundamental goals” include a conceptual approach to the sports area, the design of a football identity and a uniform football vision, while the “Club’s foundations” consist of the development of football DNA and a football concept.

Furthermore, the latter document emphasises the need to implement the position of Director for Strategic Sports Development in the organisational structure as one of the key figures in the entire Club. FDI also provided a precise position profile for this role.
Preparations are currently underway for important changes in the sports sector of FC Revera 1908, which are intended to initiate a long-term transformation process in this area.

Looking ahead, these changes are designed to bring about lasting improvements and strengthen the Club’s standing in both domestic and international football. FC Revera 1908 announces that, following the conclusion of the current season, Yehor Kopylov is concluding his work at the Club in the role of Sporting Director. His contract has officially ended, and he is returning to his professional activity in the area of player representation.

Throughout his time at FC Revera 1908, he supported the functioning of the sporting division and contributed to the Club’s development through his experience in the football environment.

We fully respect his decision to return to the field in which he holds many years of expertise — the professional support and representation of players. At the same time, the Club expects to continue its cooperation with the International Agency for Sports Talents.
